Range Safety

Personnel from the Division of Forestry, U.S. Forest Service and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Fire Department discuss a controlled burn at the Grezelka range on JBER, Alaska, May 3, 2015. The prescribed burn is to prevent wildfires on the ranges this summer. Gusts of wind, combined with tall dry grass meant if the fire was not controlled it would easily spread so they were prepared with multiple water hoses controlling the flames.(U.S. Air Force photo/Airman Christopher R.
