Historical aircraft undergoes refurbishing

Marc Horn, 3rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron aircraft maintenance technician, paints an F-4 Phantom II on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Sept. 9, 2014. To prevent inhalation of chemicals, Airmen must wear respirators while painting any aircraft although, the hangar is well ventilated. The 3rd AMXS refurbishes the static aircraft around JBER every 15 to 20 years. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Tammie Ramsouer)
