U.K. citizen raises funds for new Fisher House

JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska--Oliver Plunket, 18-year-old native of the United Kingdom, stops at the Fisher House of Alaska on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson July 22. Plunket took a gap year between high school and college to travel as a way to raise money for the newly built Fisher House in the UK. His goal was to raise $150,000 but at the end of his travel he raised $89,000, which will all go to the newly built Fisher House. He rode his motorcycle from Argentina to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, stopping to volunteer at other Fisher Houses and visiting various historic sites.
