Alaska Aces Military Appreciation Night

JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- Military members from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, as well as new military recruits, display the United States flag during the playing of the national anthem before an Alaska Aces hockey game at Sullivan Arena in Anchorage Nov. 16. The Aces organization hosted Military Appreciation Nights during games Nov. 15 and 16. Activities included a ceremonial puck drop by Air Force Lt. Gen. Russell Handy, Alaska Command and 11th Air Force commander, a tug-of-war between members of various branches of service and a presentation of Aces jerseys to leaders of each branch of service represented at JBER.
