JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- 673d Logistics Readiness Squadron fire truck maintainers repair a rapid-intervention vehicle at Fire Station 1 on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Jan. 28. Fire truck maintainers are trained specifically to repair, maintain and manage emergency response vehicles. Fire truck maintainer is a critically manned Air Force career field, with only four military and two civilian fire truck mechanics operating at the JBER fire stations.
