Bike to Work Challenge
An Airman airs up his bicycle tire before going to work on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, May 10, 2014. Individuals who ride their bicycles on or off base should always take precautions while riding. Wearing a helmet while riding a bicycle is required at all times on JBER. Having a brightly colored T-shirt or safety belt, proper footwear and using appropriate reflectors on bicycles are some of the safety precautions individuals must adhere to while operating a bicycle both on or off base.
