Taking After His Father

CHUGIAK, Alaska -- Zane Knolmayer, 4, takes off on his first sled dog race at the Chugiak Dog Mushers Park. Zane competed in the one-dog, quarter-mile race and finished in 7th place. He is the son of two-time Iditarod finisher, Lt. Col (Dr.) Thomas Knolmayer from the 3rd Medical Group, and was powered by Yeti, who was on Colonel Knolmayer's Iditarod team for both of his runs to Nome.
