A cat train full of supplies rides down the Yukon River toward Kalakaket Creek, March 17. The supplies will be used to demolish the former Kalakaket Creek Radio Relay Station, located 310 miles northwest of Anchorage. The station was built in 1957 and was used to transfer defense communications between White Alice Communication Systems up for demolition because of satellite technology in mid 1970s.
