Elmendorf's C-17s receive new assault landing strip

ALLEN ARMY AIRFIELD, Alaska -- Workers move dirt on the Allen Army Airfield airstrip in preparation of building a C-17 assault land strip. The updated assault landing strip will serve the 3rd Wing's C-17 Globemaster IIIs by providing contingency airfield training here.
