3rd Bombardment Group reunites at Elmendorf

ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Richard "Jack" Strula tells the story about his experience as a member of the 3rd Bombardment Group during an interview Aug. 13. Strula was a pilot for 3rd BG that was stationed in Australia and stopped Japan from advancing into the South Pacific during World War II. Strula and several other members from the 3rd BG reunited here for their 20th reunion Aug. 12-16. This is their last scheduled reunion. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Christopher Gross)
