Soaring eagle
OVER ALASKA -- An F-15E Strike Eagle flys over glacial fields during a training mission. The Strike Eagle is assigned to the 90th Fighter Squadron at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, which traces its history back to August 1917. Another chapter in that rich history is about to be written as the F-15E at Elmendorf will soon be replace by the F-22A Raptor. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Keith Brown)
