Nebraska Guardsman detains terrorist during exercise scenario
North Pole, Alaska – Sergeant Joe Cool detains a suspected terrorist after a trip wire to an improvised explosive devise was found while searching his vehicle during an Entry Control Point stop. The ECP was established by members of the Nebraska National Guard as part of an exercise conducted during Alaska Shield / Northern Edge 07. Exercise Alaska Shield / Northern Edge 07 is a state of Alaska / US Northern Command sponsored homeland defense and defense support of civil authorities exercise; part of the national-level Ardent Sentry / Northern Edge 07 exercise.
