Airman and Soldiers detain suspected terrorist during Alaska Shield/Northern Edge 07
North Pole, Alaska – An Airman and Soldiers contain a suspected terrorist after finding an improvised explosive devise while searching his vehicle during an Entry Control Point stop. The ECP was established by members of the Nebraska National Guard and Alaska Air National Guard as part of an exercise conducted during Alaska Shield / Northern Edge 07. Exercise Alaska Shield / Northern Edge 07 is a state of Alaska / US Northern Command sponsored homeland defense and defense support of civil authorities exercise; part of the national-level Ardent Sentry / Northern Edge 07 exercise.
