Putting gas on planes
ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Members of the 3rd Logistics Readiness Squadron ensure an Elmendorf F-22 Raptor is refueled properly during this hot pit refuel Sept. 1. This hot pit station is one of 42 located on the flight line. During hot pit refuels, the pilot pulls the aircraft up to the area without shutting down the engines and the plane is quickly refueled and it can immediately take off.
