Operation Maggie Migration

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Maggie, Alaska's only elephant, conducts crate training before being relocated to the Performing Animals Welfare Society, or PAWS, in California. A 517th Airlift Squadron C-17 Globemaster III from Elmendorf Air Force Base will transport the 25-year-old pachyderm Thursday in a crate specifically designed to transport elephants.
