Staff Sgt. Emilo Gordon, 3rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, works together with Staff Sgt. Jason Morris, 19th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, underneath one of the recently returned F-15 Eagles March 29, 2010 . Elmendorf’s 19th Fighter Squadron is soon to be decommissioned with the first F-15s leaving in April 2010 and the final few scheduled to leave in September 2010. Some of the jets returned from more than a month-long temporary duty assignment. Four jets from the 19th Fighter Squadron participated in Thailand’s exercise Cope Tiger from Feb. 26-March 13. After departing Thailand, they flew to Kadena Air Base where they rested for two days and flew out March 15 to meet up with four other Elmendorf F-15s, that participated in Cope Thaw in Hawaii. (U.
