Members of the Japanese Air Self Defense Force pay tribute to fallen Airmen at the Yukla 27 Memorial on Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, June 7. The Yukla 27 Memorial is dedicated in memory to the 24 American and Canadian Airmen who lost their lives in defense of freedom when an E-3B Sentry AWACS from the 962nd Airborne Air Control Squadron crashed after takeoff September 22, 1995. The Japanese Air Self Defense Force is here participating in Red Flag Alaska 10-3, and pay tribute at the memorial every year. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Brian Ferguson)
