Pilot swings for the fences
ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Chris Langley, first baseman for Heroes of the Diamond, warms up before the team plays the Anchorage Bucs, June 12. Mr. Langley is a captain and C-17 Globemaster III pilot for the 517th Airlift Squadron at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. The Heroes of the Diamond were established in 1990 as the Military All Stars. They are making their first stop in Alaska since being established and will play top local baseball teams on a 12-day tour which started June 12.
