Heroes honored
ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- From left to right, Anchorage Police Department Officer Chris Heitsuman, Army Lt. Col. Peter Savage, Air Force Capt. Erik Boltman, Air Force Staff Sgt.Jacob Gibson and Airman 1st Class Spencer Stringer, receive a standing ovation from Gov. Sean Parnell, Mayor Dan Sullivan and the audience in attendance for their heroic acts during a plane crash in Anchorage earlier this year, during an award ceremony that honored all those who helped during the incident. The service members were some of the first on scene alongside first responders from the local community and aided in the rescue of four survivors.
