Conquering mountains

MOUNT MCKINLEY, Alaska -- Chief Warrant Officer 3 Mark Simon of 1st Battalion, 52nd Aviation Regiment, 16th Combat Aviation Brigade, helps National Park Service mountaineering rangers unload survival equipment from a CH-47 Chinook helicopter on the Base Camp on the Lower Kahiltna Glacier in Denali National Park. Soldiers from the 1-52nd ???Flying Dragons??? provided cargo assistance to the rangers??? effort to establish this season???s base camp for mountain climbers preparing to ascend Mount McKinley or other peaks nearby.
