5K Cross-country - with a ruck
Pfc. Matthew Simms, a native of Marcellus, N.Y., and a combat engineer with A Company, 425 Brigade Special Troops Battalion, relaxes at the end of the run. The event was the first in a series. The combat cross-country runs are open to all service members. The required uniform includes combat boots and a rucksack weighing at least 35 pounds.
