2012 National Prayer Breakfast
Airmen pray during the 2012 National Prayer Breakfast in the Arctic Warrior Event Center, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Feb. 22. The U.S. military regularly participates in this international prayer tradition. Scripture readings were read from multiple sacred writings from diverse religions. The guest speaker for this year's event was Air Force Chaplain (Brig. Gen.) Howard Stendahl, the deputy chief of chaplains and a member of the special staff of the Chief of Staff of the Air Force at the Pentagon. Stendahl spoke on "Resilience in the community of faith".
