Month of the military child
April is the Month of the Military Child throughout the Department of Defense. Children are honored for their service through the difficulties of military life - which entails frequent moves, parents' deployments, and stepping up to take responsibility. Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska is hosting events on April 7 to get children and families involved and honor military youth. (U.S. Air Force photo/SSgt Sheila Devera)
