Going the distance
Air Force 1st Lt. Caitlin Oviatt stretches after a morning run on JBER Nov. 6. Oviatt is a marathon runner who, as part of a three-woman team, competed against every branch of service to win the All Service Championship for the Air Force female division at the 2012 Marine Corps Marathon, held in Washington, D.C. Oct. 28 during Hurricane Sandy. Oviatt trains regularly with the Army on Fort Richardson and is the first Air Force officer to lead an Army materiel management flight. Her hometown is Aurora, Colo.
