JBER training parachute assault

JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- Sgt. 1st Class Jovanny Jones, Apache Troop 1st Squadron (Airborne) 40th Cavalry Regiment, test the ground wind speed on Malemute Drop Zone before paratroopers of U.S. Army Alaska's 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division conduct a training parachute assault on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012. The brigade recently returned from a ten-month tour in Afghanistan, and approximately 200 of the unit's Soldiers made the jump into their sub-arctic home installation.
