DoD’s top enlisted advisor visits JBER

JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- An Airman, a Sailor and a Soldier listen during an all call with the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Marine Sgt. Maj. Bryan Battaglia, during his visit to JBER Feb. 1. The sergeant major toured the installation and provided insight on the bigger military picture. Battaglia became SEAC Oct. 1, 2011 and is the second to serve in the position. The SEAC is a military position within the U.S. Department of Defense and is designated the senior NCO in the United States armed forces, appointed by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
