Horton is responsible for providing supply chain support to sustain F-22 Raptors in support of the Pacific’s keystone weapon system flight operations. As a shift leader, Horton filled 163 maintenance requirements worth $2 million and expedited 22 mission critical shortfalls for 11 grounded aircraft. Her efforts enabled 168 sorties flown for 214.3 hours while attaining an 80.1% mission capability rate. The Arctic Warrior of the Week is an award highlighting JBER’s top-performing Airmen.

Earl Wormley, 673d Mission Support Group group superintendent, at JBER, Alaska, Sept. 20, 2019. Smith processed of over 110,000 prescriptions supporting Alaska’s 159,000 beneficiaries. In addition, Smith aided with the installation of a $327,000 Medstation by unloading and loading 1,200 medications, which improved inventory control and promoted patient safety. Smith’s extremely positive attitude is continuously noted by both patients and leadership, and he has been recognized for going above and beyond in his duties while taking care of patients. U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Jaryn Anderson, 673d Surgical Operations Squadron Aerospace Medical Technician, Anesthesia, is recognized as Arctic Warrior of the Week by U.S. Army Col. Dean Denter, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Feb. 21, 2020. Anderson currently serves in Pacific Air Force's busiest Ambulatory Procedure/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, PACU, where he provides exceptional patient care for the joint VA and its 159 thousand beneficiaries. As a safety representative, he revamped the flights safety and high-risk activity programs, as well as reorganizing the department's supply room and created a tracking log for 150 items with a $96 thousand budget. Additionally, Anderson assisted with opening two additional bays in the PACU, improving patient flow post-surgery. This ultimately boosted efficiency of five Operating Rooms, OR, 18 providers and offered assistance to the anesthesia element during staff shortages which led to a six year best OR turn-over time rate.
