JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- The 673d Civil Engineer Group and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Fire and Emergency Services will host a 9/11 memorial ceremony and stair climb on Sept. 11, 2026.
The memorial ceremony will begin at 8:45 a.m. at the Frontier Theater on the Fort Richardson side of the installation. Following the ceremony, participants will complete a 110-story stair climb in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2011, terrorist attacks.
Media members will have opportunities to document the ceremony and stair climb and interview event organizers and participants.
