In an effort to expedite access for the Wreaths Across America event at the Fort Richardson National Cemetery on Dec. 13, the base has dedicated a call-in number for early registration Dec. 10-12.

Early registration will allow approved individuals to enter JBER without needing to stop at the Richardson Visitor Control Center. Non-DOD ID card holders interested in registering for access to this event should call (907) 552-6910 between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. beginning Dec. 10.

To register, individuals 16 and older must be U.S. citizens and provide their full name, state ID or driver's license number, and date of birth to facilitate a same-day background check. Approved names will be added to a list at the Richardson gate. Individuals under 16 do not require a background check or photo ID to attend this event.

On the day of the event, individuals who’ve been pre-vetted can gain access to the base from the Richardson Gate by presenting a “Real ID” act-compliant credential. For a list of valid forms of REAL ID accepted at JBER, visit: https://jber.usaf.afpims.mil/Info/Base-Access/ under the “Visiting JBER” tab. Foreign nationals and non-U.S. citizens will not be able to participate in the pre-vetting process.

This registration is only for access to the Fort Richardson National Cemetery on Dec. 13 to participate in the Wreaths Across America event. Visitors found outside the designated area may be charged with trespassing. The Richardson VCC will be open on the day of the event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to assist those requiring an escort on to the installation, but wait times may vary.
