NOISE ADVISORY: Explosive ordnance disposal scheduled for Sept. 11, 2025

JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska --  The 673d Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal team will conduct controlled detonations on the EOD Proficiency Range (behind Sixmile Lake), Sept. 11, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The detonations will exceed 100 pounds each but will be buried 10 feet underground to reduce noise and overpressure. Residents and base personnel may still hear or feel the detonations during this time.
