MEDIA ADVISORY: JBER hosts Police Week events Published May 9, 2025 JBER Public Affairs JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson will host its annual Police Week series of events beginning May 12 through 16. Department of Defense ID cardholders are invited to attend the following observances and events:May 12: Opening ceremony at Moose Run Golf Course at 10 a.m.May 12-13: 24-hour flag carry at Elmendorf Gym’s indoor track begins 10 a.m., May 12.May 13: Volleyball tournament at the Buckner Fitness Center begins 11 a.m. Individuals wishing to participate can register via Volleyball Tournament registration. May 14: Military Working Dog demonstration at the Main Exchange parking lot at 10 a.m.The base housing parade will start at 2:30 p.m.May 15: Defender Challenge at Bldg. 8515, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Military personnel wishing to participate can register via JBER Police Week Challenge (signupgenius.com).
