JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- The 673d Explosive Ordinance Disposal flight is hosting a joint field training exercise with the 716th Explosive Ordinance Disposal Company and other partners over the course of four days, culminating in a capstone event at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, August 29, at 8 a.m.
During this training, EOD Airmen and Soldiers will test their skills and capabilities while identifying and solving potential limitations they may face when executing various missions in a deployed environment.
The capstone event will additionally include members from the 673d Security Forces Squadron, the 673d Medical Group and the 212th Rescue Squadron playing opposing forces and patient roles in a simulated mass casualty scenario involving indirect fire.
Prospective media members will have opportunities to document the capstone event and interview selected Air Force and Army EOD personnel who organized and participated in the joint field training exercise.
