JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- A U.S. Air Force staff sergeant assigned to the 3rd Wing has died after sustaining an injury while performing his assigned duties at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, March 15, 2024.
The Airman was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident, which occurred at approximately noon. The name of the deceased will be withheld until 24 hours following notification of the member’s next of kin.
