JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- Media is invited to JBER to experience an abbreviated version of the Commander in Chief’s (CINC) Installation Excellence Award (IEA) visit Feb. 19 at 10:30 a.m. JBER and Joint Base San Antonio are the finalists competing for the winning spot out of 183 USAF installations worldwide. This is an opportunity to see many facets of JBER’s capabilities and to hear from military experts in their respective fields, to include:
- JBER Commander, Col. Patricia A. Csànk
- Metals Technology
- Propulsion Lab
- 176th Wing’s Elite Cyber Defense Trainer
- E-3 Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Mission
- Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Fusion Center
- Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic
- 3rd Air Support Operations Squadron (ASOS) Director of Operations
- Innovation Lab CEO
There will be an opportunity to visit and experience 3rd ASOS simulator training and the JBER Innovation Lab. Participating media members will be given a b-roll package showing several capabilities/ missions.
