On Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, a Wreaths Across America wreath-laying ceremony will be hosted at the Fort Richardson National Cemetery at noon.

Wreaths Across America is a national nonprofit organization founded in 2007 to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony which began at Arlington National Cemetery in 1992 by Maine businessman Morrill Worcester.

This event will not have an open-access gate for the general public. Volunteers without a sponsor will need to go to the Boniface Visitor Center and provide a valid driver license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration in order to obtain a pass.

Media who wish to cover the event must contact the JBER Public Affairs Office by sending an email to jber.pa.mediaops@us.af.mil or call (907) 552-8160 by 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, and provide the name of the media outlet, the reporter and a phone number.

For station planning purposes, the ceremony is scheduled to last approximately 30 minutes.
