The U.S. Air Force (USAF) has announced the investment in Enterprise Information Technology as a Service (EITaaS) at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.  The EITaaS program improves network and IT services allowing the USAF to focus on its core mission: to fly, fight and win – in air, space and cyberspace.  The realities of a changing character of war and peace-keeping missions are driving the USAF to transform IT capabilities with a goal of keeping pace with rapidly changing technologies.

The EITaaS program is supported by a collaboration of cutting-edge commercial technology companies who bring their latest and best solutions to building a new, robust technology platform for Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and other select USAF bases. EITaaS improves the reliability, security and performance of networks in many ways.  Another big change for the end-user experience is the new responsive Service Center with an online self-service portal available 24/7/365 that is stocked with knowledge-based articles as well as a Live Chat feature with an Online Service Agent.  EITaaS is an investment in people, processes, and technology that offers a new level of operational readiness to support a lethal, multi-domain Air Force.

The 673d Communications Squadron is leading the EITaaS transformation at JBER.  To learn more about EITaaS, you are invited to town hall sessions on Thursday 21 Nov 19 (0900 and 1300) in the 176WG Theater, Building 17470 Airlifter Drive.
