JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- The 673d Air Base Wing will host the Annual Military Appreciation Picnic from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, June 7, at Buckner Field. The picnic provides a day of fun and relaxation with free food and events for all JBER service members and their families as well as Department of Defense civilians.
Activities will include games, music, a bouncy land, USO entertainment, and an information fair.
An estimated 4,500 service members and families will attend the annual event sponsored in part by the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, USO Alaska, and Armed Services YMCA of Alaska.
