JBER hosts WinterFest at Hillberg Ski Area

JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska --  Hillberg Ski Area at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, will kick off the season with WinterFest 2018, Dec. 21, from noon to 8 p.m. This free event, for all ages, is open to all DoD cardholders.

The schedule of events is as follows:
Noon to 5 p.m.
• Ice Fishing
• Dog Mushing
• Snow Machine Rides (weather dependent)

Noon to 6 p.m.
• Reindeer Farm
• Face Painters
• Hank the Moose
• Gingerbread House Building (while supplies last)
• Ornament Decorating (while supplies last)

2 to 5 p.m.
• Pictures with Santa

6 to 8 p.m.
• Special Activities for Single Service Members

Media desiring to cover the event from 12:30 to 2 p.m. must contact the JBER Public Affairs office by sending an email to jber.pa.mediaops@us.af.mil or calling (907) 552-8160 by 9 a.m., Friday, Dec. 21 and provide the name of the media outlet, the reporter and a phone number.
