Wreaths Across America Event at National Cemetery Published Dec. 13, 2018 673/ABW/PA JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- On Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, a Wreaths Across America wreath-laying ceremony will be hosted at the Fort Richardson National Cemetery at noon.Wreaths Across America is a national nonprofit organization founded in 2007 to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery begun by Maine businessman Morrill Worcester in 1992.There will be no public base access to the event, however, media is invited to attend. Those wishing to cover the event will need to contact the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Public Affairs office at 552-8160 by 4 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14 and provide the name of the media outlet, the reporter and a phone number.
