F-15 Eagles trains with F-22 Raptors

California Air National Guard F-15 Eagles support F-22 Raptors in Alaska

3rd MUNS receives munitions, largest Air Force barge operation
JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska — U.S. Airmen with the 3rd Munitions Squadron offload BLU-111 munitions at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, April 12, 2022. Over the course of eight days, the 3rd MUNS received the largest barge operation for the Air Force totaling 150,000 pounds of explosive weight. This is the 3rd MUNS annual inventory restock of both training and real-world munitions.

Airmen team up across the force to make augmented reality a reality
JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska — A jet engine is a complex machine with thousands of individual parts. Layers and layers of pipes, tubes, connectors, and electronics are invisible without taking things apart, making learning the anatomy difficult. Airmen from the 3rd Maintenance Squadron have been working with Airmen from Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, and Shaw and Seymour Johnson Air Force bases in South and North Carolina respectively, to create augmented-reality glasses, which make learning the systems far easier, using Microsoft’s HoloLens system.
