525th Fighter Squadron returns home after successful deployment in Japan
JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska — JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska — The 525th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, also known as the Bulldogs, returned home from Kadena Air Base, Japan, April 8 after a five-month deployment to support Pacific Air Forces’ efforts to bring more advanced fighter aircraft forward to the western Pacific while Kadena Air Base’s F-15C Eagles began their journey back to the United States.

3rd OSS tests landing zone capabilities at home, abroad
JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska — In early March, the 3rd Operations Support Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson sent personnel to participate in Exercise Agile Reaper 23-1 under the 3rd Air Expeditionary Wing to test their capabilities in an environment unlike home-station. And for the first time ever in Alaska, on March 23, the 3rd OSS took those same concepts and applied them to a landing zone training scenario to integrate LZOs and cargo aircraft pilots at their home-station airfield.

JBER’s commitment with international partners enables aircraft recovery
WHITEHORSE, Canada — Six F-22s assigned to the 90th EFS were on their way home to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson from Lask Air Force Base, Poland, where they had supported the NATO Air Shielding mission, when suddenly, one of the Raptors had an engine malfunction, causing it to make an emergency landing at Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport, last year.
