JAFFNA, Sri Lanka -- The United States and Sri Lanka conduct humanitarian assistance operations from August 15-20, 2016, as part of Operation Pacific Angel (PACANGEL) 16-3. During this exercise, U.S. and Sri Lankan service members will work together, in partnership with local non-governmental organizations, to provide humanitarian assistance to the residents of Jaffna, Sri Lanka. Led by Pacific Air Forces, the exercise enhances participating nations’ humanitarian assistance and disaster relief capabilities while providing needed services to people in need throughout Southeast Asia.
