The contribution deadline for the installation Combined Federal Campaign is Friday, Nov. 14., on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.

According to the CFC website, the mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. The CFC today is known to be the most inclusive workplace giving campaign in the world with the number of participating charities estimated at more than 20,000 nonprofit charitable organizations worldwide. The charities supported through the CFC range from nascent community groups to large, well-known charities.

During the kick-off, the 673d Air Base Wing Commander Col. Brian Bruckbauer said, "I've established installation goals of 100-percent contact with all personnel and to raise $280,000 to help us keep our rich tradition to 'Give for Good.'"

In a final attempt to push the CFC, people can donate online through AlaskaCFC.org, myPay, Employee Express, or the old fashioned paper pledge.

"There are multiple options available on how to make a pledge. If you want to make a one-time donation with cash or check, you'll complete a paper pledge form, or if you rather have a one-time donation using a credit or debit card, you can do so via Nexus at www.AlaskaCFC.org." said Tech. Sgt. William Sousa, 673d Comptroller Squadron quality assurance manager.
