Jamar Hill, founder of Gamers Baseball Alaska, participates in a flight with the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Aug. 5, 2026. The Blue Angels selected Hill for the flight to recognize his dedication to Anchorage youth. After a 10-year professional baseball career in the New York Mets organization, Hill returned to Alaska to establish year-round athletic programs and indoor training facilities for underserved youth, including programs in the Mountain View neighborhood.
