Spirit of the Aleutians
ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- With the downtown Anchorage skyline in view, the Spirit of the Aleutians descends to the flightline here Sept. 17. The C-17 is the newest addition to Elmendorf's Globemaster fleet. The first aircraft arrived in June. The eight and final aircraft is scheduled to arrive in November.
