Project removes historic building
Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska -- Alaska Demolition Services tears down the Log Cabin, Building 9485, June 30. The decision was made to demolish the building due to the aged logs and failing infrastructure. Constructed in 1945 for use as a bowling alley, the Log Cabin was one of the oldest buildings on Elmendorf. Currently, there are no plans to replace the facility.
