3rd Wing's outstanding performer Published Aug. 3, 2009 3rd Surgical Operations Squadron, Women's Health Services Flight ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- This Week's 3rd Wing outstanding performer is Airman 1st Class Christina Johnson, 3rd Surgical Operations Squadron Women's Health Services Flight. Hometown: Birmingham, Ala. Assigned to Elmendorf AFB since May 2008 Johnson was instrumental in assisting with a high risk delivery for an infant with thick meconium. She demonstrated knowledge of patient positioning by assisting the patient in a delivery position while the physician suctioned the infant to clear the lungs in preparation for birth. Then, once the infant was transferred to the pediatrician, Johnson assisted with gathering equipment needed for early resuscitation of the infant.
