The Combined Federal Campaign began Sept. 15 and ends Nov. 1. The CFC promotes and supports charitable organizations through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

Last year, Elmendorf contributed a total of $244,808.83 to the Pacific Air Forces $2.3 million. base officials hope to exceed last years amount to nearly $300,000, said 2nd Lt. Thomas Odgers, 3rd Maintenance Group.

"The CFC is a great organization that gives Elmendorf members the opportunity to donate to any charity of their choice," said Odgers.

CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign. Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.

Elmendorf servicemembers and their families can donate to the charity of their choice. Contact group representatives before Nov. 1 at www.elmendorf.af.mil/events/index.asp?date=09/15/2009 or visit the CFC Web site at www.opm.gov/CFC.
