American Red Cross office moves Published Feb. 24, 2010 ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- In an effort to better serve the JBER Community, the American Red Cross office has moved from the People Center to the Elmendorf Hospital. Their new office is located on the 2nd floor, across from the Optometry/Ophthalmology Clinic. The phone number is still 552-5253. The American Red Cross provides invaluable service to our military personnel during times of family emergencies, such as illness, death or hardship, by verifying information and sending a message to the servicemember's command. Last year nearly 500,000 emergency messages were verified and sent by ARC for servicemembers and family members around the world. ARC also provides other services, including providing agency referrals, training for volunteers and placement in volunteer positions within the hospital.
