CCAF Classes at Wired Cafe
ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Lt. Gen. Dana Atkins, 11th Air Force commander, speaks to a class of Airmen at the Wired Cafe March 18. This class is the first of many classes that will be held at the Wired Cafe due to its central location in the dormitory campus.
The cafe was chosen in an "effort to ignite CCAF pathway for unaccompanied Airmen," said Senior Master Sgt. Matthew Bedard, unaccompanied housing superintendent. "The cafe is in close proximity to their rooms."
The first class, offered by Wayland Baptist University, was an overwhelming success and received a high number of applications. The University of Anchorage Alaska will soon be holding an ancient history class and Embry Riddle plans to start an economics course for the Airmen.
