As springtime in Alaska gives way to summer, the tourist season is right around the corner. This means visitors to Alaska from the lower 48 statesand Alaskans traveling outside the state have increased exposure to the H1N1 flu. Even though, the number of H1N1cases in Alaska has declined, it'sstill active in many parts of the country. The good news is that there's still plenty of H1N1 vaccine available in Alaska and it's not too late to protect yourself and your family. The H1N1 vaccine is available to active-duty, military family members, military retirees and eligible beneficiaries at the 3rd Medical Group Allergy and Immunization Clinic in the Elmendorf base hospital.
